Launched in 2016, Slash experiments with various projects, new ways of supporting European musicians. Slash develops transnational skills training, mentoring/coaching, experimenting programs and collaborative solutions about “slasher” and “entrepreneur” mindset.
Slash is led by Trempo (Nantes, France) with its Musics and Transitions department framework. The platform brings together amazing partners across Europe and beyond, including cultural centers, universities, municipalities, festivals, radio stations, etc.
Two projects have already been carried out as part of Slash : Slash - EMI (European Music Incubator) between 2016 and 2018, and Slash Program (1 & 2) between 2019 and 2022. Each of which explored specific themes about the future of the artist.
From 2023 to 2027, the platform launches Slash Transition, a new project exploring the place and role of a sound artist in an area in transition, with seven international partners and five artists.
Slash is co-funded by the European Union as part of its Music Moves Europe preparatory action and Europe Creative program.
