Ketevan Davitashvili

Ketevan Davitashvili is a performer and sound artist from Tbilisi. She has studied Music Technology at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire and the Sibelius Academy and currently working as an archivist at the TSC, digitising unique recordings of Georgian folk songs from magnetic tapes. She has built a DIY analog fm synthesiser 2 years ago researching the limitations in creative decisions and unpredictability of the machines. She made a performance with her synthesiser in a baby doll embodying the social pressure of becoming a mother. Her interests are performance, being in the flow state, improvisation, sound design: field recordings and synthesis, microelectronics.
